Light burning magnesia is mainly produced by light burning kiln, magnesite ore, coal combustion to produce gas through high temperature calcination. It can also be used in the manufacture of ceramics, enamel, glass, dyes and other fields.

Medical magnesia can be used as antacid, adsorbent, desulfurizer, lead removal agent, complexing filter aid, PH regulator in the field of biopharmaceuticals as antiacid and laxative, inhibiting and alleviating excessive gastric acid, treating gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer. Neutralizing gastric acid is strong, slow and persistent, and does not produce carbon dioxide.
