The results show that the desulfurization reaction can be divided into two stages according to the pH value; the desulfurization efficiency increases significantly with the increase of magnesium sulfate concentration in the reaction process; the increase of flue gas volume will lead to the decrease of desulfurization efficiency; the increase of inlet SO2 concentration will lead to the decrease of desulfurization efficiency; the concentration and temperature of magnesium oxide have no significant effect on the desulfurization efficiency. It is inferred that the reaction process of magnesium oxide desulfurization is controlled by the mass transfer and diffusion of SO2 at the gas-liquid interface and the hydrolysate in the liquid phase.
